What are commercial water leak detection services?

Our commercial water leak detection services identify and locate leaks in commercial properties. Our water engineers use advanced technology and equipment to detect leaks in places often hidden, such as underground pipes, walls, and ceilings.

Why is commercial water leak detection important?

Cost Savings: Undetected leaks can lead to high water bills. By promptly identifying and fixing leaks, businesses can save significant utility bills.

Preventing Property Damage: Water leaks can cause structural damage to buildings, spoil inventory, and damage equipment. Early detection can avoid these costly damages.

Health And Safety: Damp environments can lead to mould growth, posing health risks to employees and customers. Additionally, leaks can lead to slippery floors, increasing the risk of accidents.

Water leaks can be silient and costly

Our commercial leak detection service uses a range of methods and technologies to detect leaks:

Ferret Leak Locator: Finds leaks faster and with greater accuracy. Using a simple hydraulic process to locate leaks efficiently results in significant resource savings. Once the Ferret head moves past a leak in the pipe, the escaping water makes the water pressure drop, meaning the Ferret will stop moving and the leak has been located.

Sonde: Sonde is a small battery-powered transmitter which, in typical use, would be screwed onto the end of a drain rod and pushed down a pipe so that the pipe direction can be traced using the locator, which tracks the signal. The location of a non-metallic pipe, duct blockage or leak can be identified using the system.

Acoustic Testing: In many situations, underground pipes can be buried very deep. With this method, we use specialist acoustic listening devices.

When you have a below ground water leak, the pressurised escaping flow vibrates the pipe and the surrounding area at the exit point (leak). This vibration creates a sound which our equipment can pick up. It will allow us to find where your leak is without requiring manual investigation.

Benefits of working with professional water engineers:

Expertise: Professional water engineers with the knowledge and experience to detect leaks quickly and accurately.

Advanced equipment: we have the latest technology to ensure accurate detection.

Minimise disruption: we can detect leaks without requiring extensive excavation or demolition, ensuring minimal disruption to your business operations.

When to consider commercial water leak detection services?

Unexplained increase in water bills: A sudden spike in your water bill could indicate a hidden leak.

Signs of water damage: stains on walls, ceilings, or floors or a musty odour can be indicators of hidden leaks.

Old plumbing systems: older buildings with ageing plumbing systems are more prone to leaks.

Safeguard your business property and ensure the safety of employees and customers while saving money in the long run. It’s an investment that pays for itself many times over.
